ADF consumer advice is not being read or not understood by new Laterals. Even though it says a lot, it doesn’t say much! Requiring you to do further laborious research which most dont have the time or experinece for in their busy first years. Every year I pass on how to maximise opportunities and refunds/discounts available to new arrivals I meet socialising. But I was only reaching a handful, I created AOLTSS on suggestion from others to reach more of you.

I’m hoping to help you to plan a smooth move over and then maximise your pay, benefits, tax return and save on essential life costs in your first year. 

I will help reduce costs for cars, bills, groceries, travel and link you to companies that provide defence discounts. Outside of work you should enjoy the nicer things in life. Free up more of ‘your’ money to explore Australia’s parks, beaches, islands and its surrounding countries.

Information can be applied by all ranks, dependants and civilians. However, hypothetical examples use former British Military, arriving aged 40, as a SGT with dependants.

AOLTSS was formerly AOLTFF. FF meaning Finance Fixes, this was changed as it implied the website offered help with debts or promoted credit, finance, debts or payday loans which it does not and never will.
